On Monday, April 16th 2012. I attended the "Introduction to DEBATE" session which presented by Binus International for all the students who currently studying Academic English II. The session was started with opening session by one of ELS staff. She told us much about debate such as how to debate in the right way, what we should prepare before doing the debate, rules in debating, terms and condition in debating, and many more. Most of students paid attention to her and some of students quite didn't care to the session. The introduction session ran for around an hour and after that continued by debate demo by BIPEDS team. In that demo, they debated about what they think about what the best oil policy in Indonesia (as I heard at that session) for around 30 minutes. The demo was really awesome. Their capability of speaking, attacking their opponent, and summing up their opinions were really" unbelievable. I guess they're born to be a debater or sit in the government in the future. LOL . After the demo ended, the session were also closed by the speaker. I really got the new knowledge about debating or sometimes called "adu bacot" . ahahaha :D
